BMV News 2

BMV began in 1997 at its present Edward St. location, next-door to the World’s Biggest Bookstore. The philosophy behind BMV has always been to sell good books at low prices. It’s easy to find quality books that are expensive and marginal books that are cheap. The BMV challenge has always been to find unusual and interesting books of high quality and to sell them at very reasonable prices.

In 1999 BMV opened its Yonge and Eglinton location, which is still thriving today.

But it was really the 2007 opening of the BMV flagship store that put the company on the map of the most serious book hunters. At 15,000 sq. ft., the store at 471 Bloor St. W. is Canada’s largest bookstore for second-hand and discounted books. It boasts four floors of books, DVDs, comics, CDs, records, and magazines. There are more than a thousand different items being shelved everyday, which makes every visit a unique experience.
